Ceragem Hosts the Launch Ceremony of the Global CSV Business Management Research Institute

2017-03-18

The global healthcare company Ceragem announced on March 6th that it held the launching ceremony for the Global CSV Business Management Research Institute on March 2nd.

CSV refers to “creating shared value,” through which a company practices business philosophies based on “sharing and win-win,” fulfills corporate social responsibility, and creates value with a public interest in doing so.

Taking it a step further from social contributions centered on donations and volunteer programs, Ceragem plans to share sustainable growth with the communities it serves. For this purpose, the company created the CSV Team, an exclusive division devoted to the planning and implementation of CSV.

The launching ceremony was accompanied by the appointment of crucial positions including General Executive Director Kim Sang-sik (General Director of the CSV Business Management Institute) and CEO Lee Gyu-Cheol (Director of the CSV Business Management Institute) as well as supervisors and managers for Ceragem’s branches who are at the frontlines with customers.

Ceragem has made regular donations to ChildFund Korea and Iksunwon (both social welfare foundations) for eleven years since 2006; it has also participated in helping the socially disadvantaged through the hosting of “Sharing Love Kimchi Preparation Event” for six years since 2011.

In addition, the company has been actively involved in CSV activities around the world: Hope Elementary School Project (a school redevelopment project in disadvantaged areas of China / seven established so far), Philanthropy Sanitation Center, and Scholarship Support Project for four universities in China, Dream School Project in India, one-year scholarship support for eleven students of low-income families attending the University of Dhaka in Bangladeshi, and support for victims of Nepal’s earthquake.

CEO Lee Gyu-Cheol stated: “through the establishment of the CSV Business Management Institute, Ceragem will do its best to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and create shared values for businesses and communities based on the values of joy, health, and happiness for both customers and business partners.”

After its establishment in 1998, Ceragem’s businesses have expanded to the individual thermal heat massager Shilax, Naviel, Club Balance 5, and cosmetics. With its distinct experience-oriented marketing, it has maintained large followings from customers in over 70 countries including Korea, China, India, and many European countries.
