Ceragem, a global healthcare company, was selected as the Best Korean CSR (standing for corporate social responsibility) in China for two consecutive years.

Organized by the Korean embassy in China and sponsored by the KOTRA and Korean Merchants’ Association in China, the 2016 Korean CSR Model Company Review is directed toward Korean companies in China and evaluates their annual CSR activities.

Ceragem was chosen as the Best Company in Customer Satisfaction. Eight companies including Samsung (Excellent Strategies), E-Land (Community Contribution), Doosan (Innovation), and Amorepacific (Customer Satisfaction) received the Best Company Award while twelve companies including SK (Excellent Strategies), Mando (Community Contribution), Asiana Airlines (Innovation), and LG Electronics (Customer Satisfaction) were honored with the Outstanding Company Award.

Ceragem has been deeply involved in local communities in China. It offered emergency help in national disasters such as the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, severe drought in southwestern China in 2009, and flooding in Jilin in 2010. It also established seven Hope Schools in China. With active involvement in improving education, medical care, disaster aid, and local communities, as a Korean company in China, Ceragem has made significant contributions to enhancing its corporate image and brand as well as Korea’s national image in China.

General Executive Director Kim Sang-sik of Ceragem noted: “Ceragem as a global corporation is striving to work hand in hand with local communities in countries around the world. And this effort has made Ceragem a beloved company in China.” He went on, “We will continue to work hard for the common growth of the company and local communities and expand our CSR activities to not just China, but countries all over the world.”

Ceragem made investment into building a branch in 2001 that produced medical equipment in Yanji. Over the last 16 years it expanded to four plants and one research development center in China through specialized product technology and experience-oriented marketing strategies. Through its own production infrastructures, Ceragem is operating sales centers across China. Ceragem is also operating Naviel, Club Balance 5, and cosmetics businesses and has actively promoted diverse corporate social responsibilities in countries such as India, Germany, and Chile.
